For the 150th anniversary of The School of Applied Arts in La Chaux-de-Fonds, My classmates and I had the opportunity to work with the MBAL (Musée des beaux-arts du Locle). The point of this project was to showcase the work of multiple female artists from their collection. I was assigned the artist Jeanne Perrochet (1878 - 1956), a sculptor from La Chaux-de-Fonds.

Since I didn’t have a lot of information on her life I decided to focus on the main point of being a female artist during the time she was living, by expressing the way she made her sculptures. I was also pretty lucky to be able to see her work up close since they’re scattered around the city, this is why most of the video was created with real footage or scanned pictures of her work and not images found on the internet.
